KUSA - Have an idea how to shorten airport security lines? The Transportation Security Administration is offering a cash prize for a solution.
The TSA has $15,000 to divide up between those who come up with the best ideas to build on the existing "Precheck" program that allows certain fliers to bypass some checks like removing shoes, belts and jackets in the security line.
The "Next Generation Checkpoint Queue Design and Model" contest ends August 15.
More than 1,700 ideas were already been submitted as of Tuesday afternoon.
