DENVER- A thousand passengers were stranded at Denver International Airport early Tuesday morning from canceled flights due to a strong line of storms in the Midwest and Texas.

DIA spokesperson Julie Smith said United had to cancel about 23 flights out of DIA and is working with the impacted passengers.

Lines stretched around concourse B as people waited to talk with United Airlines representatives.

Smith said about 790 were in the B Concourse.
