KUSA - He was the best Broncos running back by far last season, but Knowshon Moreno no longer calls Colorado home after Denver let him go. Moreno is now in Miami, meaning Montee Ball is now the man.
"Yeah. I know for a fact that they are not going to hand it to me and that they are going to make sure we all get our opportunities throughout OTAs and camp to see who will be the most productive, but my mentality is that it is my job and that I'm going to make sure nobody takes it from me," said Ball earlier this week.
Ball has never been cocky but always confident in his abilities and with a year under his belt the Broncos running back should be better this year.
"All the experiences that I went through, I understand now the longevity of the season—how long it is. You have to take more pride and take care of your body—hydrating well, sleep, massages and all that stuff. But on top of that, just really focusing on the playbook week by week. In our offense, we're capable of changing a play day by day."
The start of the Broncos 2014 season is a long ways away, but for Ball and the rest of the Broncos things have already started with 100% participation in their offs season workouts.
