KUSA- DeMarcus Ware's first day on the job didn't start out the way he wanted it to.
"I got lost this morning, I'm glad there's no snow," Ware said after his first workout with his new team.
The Broncos facility in Dove Valley is undergoing major construction projects on the outside while on the inside the franchise is rebuilding a team that lost 43-8 in the Super Bowl.
"You can see that the guys really want it and they have that bad taste in their mouths from last season and I know that's motivating them," Ware said about his teammate's attitudes.
Ware is coming off elbow surgery two months ago and said he's getting healthier everyday. He even gave a percentage that coincidentally matches his jersey number.
"Rehab every day, I'm not 100 percent about 94 percent. I'll be ready to play when I get out there this season," Ware to the media gathering Monday.
One of the biggest intangibles Ware brings to his new team is his leadership abilities. Something the Broncos hope will influence troubled defensive end Von Miller. Ware and Miller got together this morning to look at each other's game highlights.
"Some of the moves he was doing on tape were some of the moves I've been doing. I was critiquing him and he was critiquing me," Ware continued. "It's just a good thing to know there are guys out there who look up to you and now I have the opportunity to shed some advice onto him. He's a great player and I look forward to playing with him this season."
