DENVER – The Colorado Symphony made some changes to clarify its "Classically Cannabis" events to make sure they comply with the city's interpretation of recreational pot laws.
The Colorado Symphony issued a statement Tuesday saying the events on May 23, July 18 and August 15 were always intended to be private fundraising events.
After the City of Denver voiced concerns about the events and after consulting with a city attorney, the Colorado Symphony has since removed public information about the private events from its website and agreed to refund all ticket purchases made through Monday, May 12.
Classically Cannabis tickets will now be available by invitation only. No reservations or requests for invitations will be accepted from the general public.
The Colorado Symphony is also in the process of withdrawing two special events permit applications from the city.
