Police say a man held a King Soopers manager at gunpoint before stealing from the back of the store.


LAKEWOOD – Police are looking for a man they say held a night manager at a King Soopers grocery store at gunpoint then stole from the back of the store.

The incident happened on March 9 around 11 p.m.

Police say the suspect waited in a grocery store storage room for 2 hour and cut away at the aluminum fencing that protects valuables.

When he was confronted by the night manager, the suspect threatened him with a black handgun. The manager was then held at the back of the store until the suspect took several items out of the store.

Police say the suspect loaded the goods into a white panel van and left the scene.
